The View

The four iconic cabins named "The View" are settled just before you reach the village of Bøur. They are build back in 2017 and are owned by a family that lives in Bøur. As you can see in the photos below there is an obvious reason why the cabins are named The View. The breathtaking view of the Sea Stacks Drangarnir, the islet Tindhólmur (also known as the sleeping dragon) and the island in the back called Mykines (aslo known as the puffin island).

About the Cabin's Enterior

The four cabins have different names Tobbastova, Guttastova, Dávastova and Eiriksstova. These cabins are build with the traditional Faroese style in mind. Stone floor, wooden walls and decoration with e.g. sheep wool. In my opinion the kitchen is the most modern looking, but it fits very well with the rest of the interior.

When you come inside, on the first floor, you will see the dinner table and the big window showing you the amazing view.

Also on the first floor there is the kitchen, the sofa/TV and the toilet with a shower and washing machine. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, two single beds in each room, which they can be put together to make one bigger bed if it is necessary.

My experience staying in one of the cabins

The most memorable moment while staying in one of these cabins was when waking up in the morning, going downstairs to prepare breakfast and feeling like someone was watching me. I turned around and there was a sheep staring at me :D

After my family and I finished eating, chickens came by our door. My kids loved giving them breadcrumbs :) Walking to the village Bøur while enjoying the sunset was also a very memorable moment. So no matter if you come with your family, friends or maybe alone, you will most probably enjoy your time there. I know we did :)
